About Lead Acid Batteries

    Lead acid batteries have existed since the end of the 19th century. They have the characteristics of high performance, low cost, easy recovery and charging. Their efficiency is relatively high, about 80 – 90%. However, when high power is discharged, the available capacity of the batteries is reduced. Therefore, the discharge depth of lead acid battery is limited.

    There are many different types of lead acid batteries for different machines.  Lead acid batteries have been widely used because of their low cost and long service life (more than 15 years). The design of lead acid batteries is still improving, which could enable them to become a more viable option for energy management.
