The high-rate discharge capacity of the battery has an important influence on the terminal voltage level, and the stability of the separator directly affects the battery life. For the electrolyte alone, it is necessary for the separator to have enough space and pores to conduct ions through. Therefore, the separator is called the third pole of the battery, and it has become an important means for developing new batteries or improving existing batteries.


    PVC-silica separators are also called wet-process PVC separators, which are mainly used in valve-controlled sealed lead-acid gel batteries. PVC-silica separator has higher porosity than sintered PVC separator, more ideal pore size distribution, better puncture resistance, better compressive strength and stronger toughness than polyethylene PE separator It has better oxidation resistance and chemical stability.

    The PVC SiO2 separator has a porosity greater than 78%, the maximum pore diameter is less than 10 microns, the wetting speed to the electrolyte is within 2 seconds, and the resistance is only 0.0003Ω.dm2, which is one-tenth of that of ordinary separators.


    The PVC SiO2 separator has excellent flame-retardant properties and good toughness, is not easy to be damaged during packaging, transportation and assembly of the battery, and can be processed into a bag-type separator. The PVC battery separator also has the advantages of not being easy to absorb moisture and having a long storage shelf life.
